1 Cor: 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.

Beautiful! The love chapter... once when our 3 kids were young and had been bickering all through the day, my husband sent them to their rooms to read I Cor.13... 3 times each!! :) Not sure if it helped them, but it sure helped us!!

ReplyDeletein the olden days when i went to high school the love verses in corinthians was required poetry that every child must memorize but now that they have kicked the bible right out of the public schools, and the literature books with the love chapter and psalm 23 and psalm 100 and the ten commandments in it...well the children are not getting the benefit of memorizing them!

ReplyDeleteA DAMSEL WHO LOVED SHADES OF RED
A damsel who loved shades of red
Discovered she’d been sore misled;
She had no more rose,
Nor blush for her nose—
If she finds the thief, the guy’s dead!
