Even the bluest of the blue, the forget-me-nots,
have traces of red.
Our time on earth is limited.
In spite of that cruel knowledge,
or maybe just therefore,
we try to make traces in the sand.
Plant a tree, sow some seed,
chisel in a stone;
Felisol was here.

It's a lovely forget-me-not. Not sure I see the red, though I do see purple.
ReplyDeleteI did plant some basil seeds today; I tried a month ago. They came up, then I think rain washed them away.
You are right; the buds and the shine in some petals is more purple than red. Then again, purple is defined in Wikipedia as "Purple is a range of hues of color occurring between red and blue.[3] In additive light combinations it occurs by mixing the primary colors red and blue in varying proportions. It is a secondary color because two colors (blue and red) make up this color."
ReplyDeleteBesides "The Color Purple "is one of my favourite movies.
Red is my favorite color. I love the photo you chose of the forget-me-not. And yes, Felisol was here. I see in your comment that you love "The Color Purple". I do too and besides the movie I took my niece to New York to see the play and ...loved it.
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Debbie

I love the picture!
ReplyDeleteFelisol has definitely been here, and your mark is being felt clear over the sea in Texas!!
Love you!
Forget-me-nots .. The state flower of Alaska .. how could one forget this cheery little flower that keeps on putting forth blooms as it grows taller. They grow wild around our property .. but a bit different than yours .. perhaps the flowers are a bit tinier. I have a hard time pulling them up where I don't want them to grow.
ReplyDeleteFelisol, these are such alluring blossoms!
ReplyDeleteA SEEKER OF CRIMSON AND RED
A seeker of crimson and red
Did part her fair lips as she said,
“A daiquiri’s fine,
And so is red wine,
But I prefer claret instead!”
