Doors of Dublin

The Georgian doors of Dublin are famous. Always freshly painted, every door with a personal twist.
I'd be reluctant to knock on the green door, though.

Midnight
one more night without sleepin' -
Watchin'
till the morning comes peepin'.
Green door
what's that secret you're keepin'?
there's an old piano and
they play it hot behind the
green door
don't know what they're doin'
But they laugh a lot behind the green door.
Wish they'd let me in
So I could find out what's
behind the green door.
Knocked twice
tried to tell 'em I'd been there

Door slammed
hospitality's thin there.
Wonder just what's goin' on in there.
Saw an eyeball peepin' through a smokey cloud
Behind the green door

When I said
Joe sent me

Someone laughed out loud
behind the green door.
All I want to do is join
the happy crew behind the
green door.
Midnight
one more night without sleepin'...
Saw an eyeball peepin' through
a smokey cloud...
Wish they'd let me in
So I could find out what's
behind the green door..

  7. My favorite color is red so I'm going with that door. However, green is very trendy now. It's interesting to me that many in the world would go with that door as it seems like fun. But I choose my joy in the Lord and not the world. He still brings a smile to my face and even laughter at times.

    Blessings and love,

  11. I like the red one too. Now I'll be humming that song all night. I haven't thought of it in many years.

It's so interesting to see different countries and what they do that we may not do where we live, like the colored doors. It's so hot in Texas that our traditional summer outings aren't so much fun unless there is a pool or lake close by. It was 106 today. :(.. I want to go to Norway!!! :)

  12. Oh, Sonja, You don't want to come just now. We've had an average of 13 Celsius degrees in June.
Yes, the Irish have a thing about their doors. I once was in Waterford. There some actually had hung up striped canvas to protect their door from fading in the summer sun.

Not many private pools here in our little town, but only 5 minutes walk to a wonderful, God created beach.
