UNEVEN RUBY COMPETITION

My porcelain flower is 30 years old.I got it from a friend of my mother and have moved it with me around the town. Now it's covering a great widow facing east, and every time I remember to water it,I'm rewarded with bunches of pea sized blossoms, smelling like the costliest perfume.
Just now they are competing with the spring outside.
P.S.
I am afraid I still have major problems in explaining myself in readable English.
The porcelain flowers come from a living plant.
The plant is 30 years old. The flowers are fresh and photographed in macro. They have the size of a flat pea, and in the evenings they send out tiny scenting drops.

A little madness in the Spring
Is wholesome even for the King,
But God be with the Clown —
Who ponders this tremendous scene —
This whole Experiment of Green —
As if it were his own!

  4. Those are pretty blooms, Felisol. At first I thought they were porcelain, man made. Now I understand.
I know they have a lot of meaning for you. Finally our 'Aunt Minnie' plant died. She was older than my dad and we were the fortunate/unfortunate keepers.
Happy RT! I'm up again for this week. I comboed it with a late Mother's Day post.

  9. The flowers have a life of their own, be they real or not. In the Spring, we look for flowers and the feel of the season. The smell of flowers we savor, the bright days we love. Any flower in the Spring is special indeed!

  16. Your tiny delicate flowers show that God made some things for His own amusement and joy, and that the person who notices the tiny is blessed with insight.

  18. How beautiful, I'd never have guessed they were real until I read your PS. I can't believe you've kept the same plant alive for thirty years, it wouldn't last thirty HOURS in my house!

By the way, you can look here to see how the Jacob's Ladder Festival got it's name :).
