SEPIA FLEE MARKET

I just had to experiment alone to see if I mastered the sepia thing.
All items exhibited
on the picture origins from flee markets in a period of 30 years.
Now filling every empty space in our hallway.
Selected Poems by Emily Dickinson

I died for beauty but was scarce

Adjusted in the tomb,
When one who died for truth was lain
In an adjoining room.

He questioned softly why I failed?
"For beauty," I replied.
"And I for truth,--the two are one;
We brethren are," he said.

And so, as kinsmen met a night,
We talked between the rooms,
Until the moss had reached our lips,
And covered up our names.

Emily Dickinson is a favorite.
She somehow connects well with sepia.

My Hub does a lot with sepia and on the right subject, it is perfect! Our daughter Jessica is a Photographer (with her own studio) and does a lot with sepia and black and white. Color is beautiful, but sometimes the sepia makes the picture's subject look more real! I love your vintage things. I enjoy Elizabeth Barret Browning.

Have a lovely weekend!

You most certainly have mastered the technique - this is beautiful, and so very appropriate for sepia. I love the way the sunbeam shines in at an angle. Lovely lovely shot. Beautiful poem, too.

Thank you too for rejoicing with me at Maya's accomplishments. It will be worth the lightning bolt to share my joy with friends.

Truth and beauty certainly virtues to die for.

Your photo touch up is lovely. Casts a pretty sheen on the photo.

Hi Felisol,
I haven't been to your blog in a while, and when I visited today, I was so glad I did. Lovely photos, lovely poems. I like Emily Dickinson too. The sepia photo is beautiful, so is the group of bags you did. So unique. You are an artist. Your blog is really unique. I read your last four blogs. Heartwarming. Enjoy the week ahead of you. I imagine it must still be very cold.

This is a wonderful sepia toned photo! The light is perfect.
I love the reflection of the 'lady' in the mirror.
Emily Dickenson - awesome poetry. I have loved her work since my high school years.
