Norwegian rustic reds

Pentecost is celebrated with a double holiday in Norway.
Most people relax in rural surroundings since all shops are closed.
Gunnar and I have used the liberty of exploring the North county of Rogaland in our Land Rover, so very well fit for traveling in the countryside.
Here we are at an abandoned quay by an old store.
If you look closely, you can see the water and the hill reflected in the dirty window panes.

Wow this is such a gorgeous sight an d you found it on Pentecost Sunday, a double blessing.

I really like reading how Christian beliefs and traditions are upheld in Norway, this is wha t makes your nation so great. Having a Biblical foundation.

FELISOL! Is the motorcycle (reflected) your? Looks 'cool'...

Nice photo, inspiring: age of the windows/building and the abandonment. Like some old Peeps, who are just left alone...in an empty place. Thank you!

You have a little of everything in this photo, Felisol: red and sky and mystery and intrigue!

DAWN TO DUSK

Yellow’s the color I wear at dawn
When dancing dewdrops spangle the lawn.

Red is the color I wear at dusk
When earth and sky are dry as a husk

And nothing stirs—not even a wing
Of bat or swallow or anything!

Love the reflections and the weathered reds.I can tell who the Norwegians are here in Minnesota by the red they display around their houses!
Nicely done.

Lovely photo, dear Felisol.

The reflection on the window panes is beautiful as well.

Are there still people living in the house?

I imagine that you must have taken some food along on your trip, found a quiet spot, spread out your cotton tablecloth on the grass, and had a picnic, just for two!

What a wonderful shot. That old paint is so full of character, and I love that the harbor is reflected in the window.

Your photos are art, and I really like this one. My daughter in law just bought an old window that looks like this, and she is a interior designer, so it will be fun to see what she does with it.

Sounds like a perfect day, out in the land rover enjoying Norway! :)
