Blond nights

These are the magic blond nights,
made for living, not for sleeping.
Amidala is lying in the front door opening,
gazing at her alleged sister on the left house corner.
I am walking barefoot all day, wearing only gloves, while gathering giant snails in the garden.
Glad I'm not a Buddhist, or all my flowers would have been eaten by those beasts.
In writing moment, 03.20 a.m. the dawn has long begun and the birds are already singing.

I'd like to share one of my favorite poems once more.

Music when Soft Voices Die (To --)

By Percy Bysshe Shelley
   Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the belovèd's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

Good night, world.

Barefoot while collecting slugs. Brrrr, I get the willies just thinking about that and the ick factor of a mis-step. LOL

Great picture of Amadalia. Very atmospheric and moody.

Hugs,
Annie

barefoot in the dirt pickin' out slugs sorta sound relaxing. But i think i will pull out a project to work on to relax, first.

The blod atmosphere is really magical Felisol. Yesterday I read about the Summer Solstice celebrations in Norway.

Giant snails!!! I would be afraid of them really.

I like that poem too, savor the moment long after it has gone. Things to hold on and c cherish

Dear Felisol:

I always find myself smiling at your words, both here, and on the comments you leave. No one else says it quite like you do. I love those 'blond nights' in Norway... I had to close the heavy drapes in our hotel in Tromso at 3 a.m. since sleep was NOT what I felt like doing. It's a unique and special thing to experience.

Chuckling at Amidala and her 'alleged' sister! :)

Shelley's poem is beautiful, and a good way to end your night and begin my day! :)

Beautiful photo - everything looks so serene. Norway must surely be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Armidala... she blends beautifully into the scenery.

The Shelley poem is so appropriate.

Trusting all is well with your Mom.
