RUBY PURSE PASSION

There are hobbies, collectibles and passions.
I'm familiar with all.
I paint, knit, write and do a tiny bit of photography; hobby.
I collect glass, china, old photos/ frames, old jewelry, books.
Purses/ bags are my passion. I just cannot pass a store without taking a peak, and very often making a buy.
Be it the posh LV shop in Oslo, the San Lorenzo market in Florence, Portobello Road, London the Trastavere Sunday in Rome, the local Salvation Army store or e-bay. Been there, done it.
Some bags are collected for recycling to SA store, some are due for remote storage in the attic.
First I've assembled some of the rubies for a macro shooting.
To get the macro look; doubleclick!.

Originated by MaryT, check hers for today.

Hi Felisol,

Lovely montage. Love the colors and textures, beads and embroideries. Makes me want to feel them all. Happy Ruby Tuesday!

Thanks you for your comment on my poetry. It is a pleasure to me that you got so much out of that Haiku! There is another one that you might enjoy 'King David'.

Eaton. :)

Me too! My favorites are casual Tommy Hilfiger that I find at discount stores or my daughter finds at thrift stores.
I have more than any one woman needs.
This are fantastic.

Nice picture ! I don't care about bags at all ! I have a black Kipling for winter and beige one for summer and that's what I use ! But my mother had around 40 handbags in leather when she died !

What a fun obsession and a very cool photo montage. My current purse is actually from the San Lorenzo market, a brown leather one I got there last year that I love.

Wonderful macro shots in a fine collage.

What a great collection you have, and such beautiful colors. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. To answer your question about the sounds, the trains DO have real sounds like chuffing, bells and whistles, voices talking, squealing brakes, steam release, even train wreck sounds if the engineer doesn't operate the switch in time. Each locomotive has it's own unique sounds. I have seven locomotives and one trolley with this feature, and each one is different. The trolley has children laughing, has the conductor anouncing each stop, and a ringing bell.

Felisol your collage is like an art piece itself. Very cleverly displayed.I love your collection. You are real art collector. In India you would find loads of stuff to add to your treasures for sure and very cheap too (launghing).

How are you feeling today? Hope the flu is fading out and you are feeling stronger.

I have some red hot chilly pepers to post for the red letter day. But i haven 't post the photo yet.

Passion? Or obsession? (LOL) Either way, that's quite a collection, no doubt about it!

Why would you say it had to be a man that took my R/T shot? Or do you just know me that well?

Hello Eaton,
Your King David poem, so mighty, it will live on with me.

Hi, Carletta,
I have an Tommy Hilfiger as well.
I deny to count my handbags..
I sort them after color and size.
The once I know for certain I will not use, I recycle.
Too much of a good thing...is wonderful!

Hi Dora,
Never been into that money collecting passion.
The Preacher says
Lord, give me not wealth nor poverty.
Let me eat my daily meals.
Much wisdom there.

Dear Gattina,
I'm afraid I have more, much more than 40 handbags.
Luckily my daughter is in to the collector hobby too.
She has her own collection and gladly take over some of mine as well.
She also is a keen collector of all kinds of cat items.
Our two last cats were actually hers.
Deep, deep sorrow when they died.

Dear Robin,
So you've been at the San Lorenzo. What a thrill.
We stayed not far from the market. Had to have a peek there on our way home. We of course went by foot or also bus.

I could go back to Florence tomorrrow no matter what the weather i s like.
Daughter Serina departed for London this afternoon.
That was too cold for me.

ilandavita,
I guess I should have cut smaller pieces of the macro photos to make this purse mosaic.
Things went a bit head over heals yesterday.

Hi, Becky and Gary,
guess you have to lay out a video of your extraordinary installation on YouTube.
All the wonderful details are worth a closer study.
How could I be so certain of the sound effects? Because this is a work of perfection.

Dear Amrita,
I have not found your Ruby Tuesday yet. It will pop up on my follower list when it's ready.

I'm always looking forwards to seeing what you are coming up with.
My flue is not quite gone yet. Guess I tend to hold on to what I get, good or bad.

Hello Mojo,
your profile says gender. male.
No big secret there.
I guess though men tend to see the world in a more sensual way than women. Old fashioned thinking maybe. There is a ddifference though. I am glad it is so.
Bet you did not think much about the shoes I had last Tuesday. They certainly hit more of a womanly area.

Oh I get that handbags passion of yours, my somewhat guilty pleasure are Mulberry handbags. But I'm no stranger to others, as long as the craftmanship and/or uniqueness of the bag is well executed. I wish I could make some true finds at vintage stores, but I alas have had no luck with that so far. A great handbag - and a snazzy shawl - do make a lot of difference!

Wow! you do love purses/bags! I'm like that with turtles...but only turtles...nothing else. I spread my passions around a bit and do a little of a lot of things. Now my hubby would collect jackets if I would let him..not only one for every temp but also every kind of weather in every temp! lol

Felisol, the more I learn about you the more interesting you certainly are! How creative and talented. I hope you're feeling back to normal.

Good deal, Felisol. I do the same with radio stuff but none of that is red. Sorry.

I do have a Ruby Tuesday post since you peeked in on Mrs. Jim. "Thank you for the compliment," she says.

I am sorry you have the flu. Be careful. Go to the doctor if you don't think you are getting better soon!

Dear Felisol
The more I know you,the more I think that you are like my sister, Betty.
She has a passion for purses and shoes...dainty ones and colorful! And she has a passion for cameras and photography.
Her storage place are her many closets!

And the more I know you,Felisol, the more I think that you are like Mom Golden.
She has a passion not only for shoes and purses and hats every color of the rainbow, but she also loves to rummage through second hand stores to buy frames, glasses, books and knitted blankets.
Her storage is the little wire cages that her apartment building has in the basement.

And the more I know you, the more I see that you are like me.
Although I only own three pairs of plain shoes and one purse, I love photography, china, old photos, tons of books and my storage is in the attic too.
Do you love old vinyl records and eight track tapes too?
I do. And there are so many of them that our two closets are full of them
I am gradually changing them over to CD's, but it is one big job!

Felisol...You so know how to arrange things that you photograph.
Looks just like a magazine layout!

Well catch you later.
I am catching up on my friends and you were first because you are my bestest....Love Terry

Happy Belated Ruby Tuesday my friend....
