LONG LIVE RUBY SPRING

Spring exploded this week at 10 Celsius degrees.
This ship wreck has almost survived being covered in snow and ice for four month on our terrace.
In our living room the exotic plants are having a feast, growing totally out of control.
The hiker girls have been out all year, come snow, come rain. Now the masculine gender also is out of winter lair hibernate.Turid made great effort stopping this dog/calf from intruding our coffee rest zone. She easily controls any male creation.
No blue tulips, but daffodils and primroses in my garden.
I admit; I have not fulfilled spring cleaning yet. The windows of the terrace doors are misty from salty winter storms and rain. Serina's terrace-refrigerator decorations, made in oil on metal 10 years ago, are still vivid in their colors.

Warmth encroaches, yet the invasion of Spring is most welcome in these northern climes. The fishermen can cast their nets at sea since the terrace 'harbor' is now ice free. that is a beautiful dog, pleasant and more the size of a pony - always ready for a walk! The warm weather flowers are stunning rubies. As for spring cleaning, that can wait until the flowers and sun grow more...

Dear Terry,
The exotic plant indeed is a Christmas cactus mixed with some eternal green no name plant.
I do my best to preserve the plant, I actually have 4 species. They all come from the plant Gunnar inherited after his grandmother, midwife Maria,
who died 40 years ago.
I so want to keep it alive for Serina, you know. In our hallway there's another indoor plant from Gunnar's mother. She died 4 weeks after Serina's birth in 1988.

Soon, when there's no fear of night frost, I will set out eight Begonias in the garden.
They are are my mother from my grandmother Serina in 1961.

Some complicated heritage.
I guess this is why I love to work with my plants. They are living roots to our past.

It's looking very cheerful in your gardens. Your primroses are blooming already. So far I have one yellow blossom so far. I hope there will be more later this week!

Dear Felisol, may the warmth, color and freedom of spring envelop you and your family.

Lovely to see the sign of summer showing up.

You gals are all buckled up for the hike, you must have had a great time.

You preserve old memories very carefully and display them. I like the stories you have attatched to them.

10*C is very pleasant weather for us. On Sunday ours was 44*.
The only thing to do is to make friends with the heat.Ha-ha!

The Lord is gracious to us in all kinds of weather.

Your spring is further along than mine ... the colors in your post are so sunny. We had a false spring a few weeks ago .. warmer temps .. then it turned cool with snow flurries .. by end of the week we might be warmer. My Danish cousin that lives near Seattle goes on Monday hikes each week with his hiker buddies .. reminds me of your jaunts with your lady friends. Enjoy your spring weather .. you deserve it after such a long dark winter with all the snow you had. Hugs,

Ah, the return of spring. I also have some primroses blooming in the yard, and was just thinking this morning I should take a picture of them.

Looks like a happy doggie out for a walk.

Don't worry about the cleaning..I'm not. ;-)

Love spring flowers, I always love to see your part of the world from your eyes, dear Felisol!

Still when I look at the picture of the men and the dog, everything still looks so chilly, compared to our sizzling hot days of 40 degrees in our country at this time!

Love
Lidj

Felisol, the colors there are so vibrant and sunny! What beautiful flowers...spring here is exploding, too - and with lots of POLLEN:-) So we take allergy medicine and deal with it. Thank you so much for your note. We have such mixed feelings about my husband's father dying...he's with Jesus, yes, but still we find it hard to believe that all parents are now gone. Thank you for thinking of us, and for your prayers. God is good to give us friends around the world, united in His love for each other.

Much love & hugs,
Vicki
