WALKING ON PROMISES # 25

ISAIAH 45:
2
I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the doors of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron; 3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I am the LORD, who call thee by thy name, even the God of Israel. 4 For the sake of Jacob My servant, and Israel Mine elect, I have called thee by thy name, I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known Me. 5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, beside Me there is no God; I have girded thee, though thou hast not known Me;

Sometimes I wonder; have I used these wonderful verses before.
If so, they were once more new to me today.
They were given me as food for my soul and a light or my path, just this very day. I hope that I by sharing also can pass on food to somebody else.
" That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside Me; I am the LORD; and there is none else."

What beautiful scripture and music to wake up to this morning! Isn't that the way it is... verses we have probably seen before are brand new to us in HIS timing for us.

I'm just so happy you are back Felisol!

Love,

Sonja

Dear Terry and Sonja,
you are right the verses were new to me, because they filled a need in me today.
I am facing challenges, and I don't know what to do, so I mainly do nothing.
This morning the words about how God will open the shut doors and spring the iron bolts for me, made me feel calm, and exited. How is He going to fulfill this very promise?
I can't tell. but the Lord can.

This passage is one of my favorite Scripture passages... and the song from Handel's Messiah is also one the we listened to often when my husband was still alive.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful words and music.
