40,000 people singing "Barn av regnbuen" at Youngstorget, Oslo

The people of Norway fighting evil in the best of all possible ways, with song and roses. I have felt so low and intimidated by the worst terrorist that Norway has ever seen. Felt it like mockery that he should stand up in court and preach his horrible, evil devastating words of racism and hatred.
What a victory for democracy when the people of Oslo finally got enough and 40 000 gathered and sung the children song that the terrorist so despised. They song their hearts out and went to the court house to sing for the terrorist and lay down their roses for his victims.

I've been following this on the news. How wonderful to hear the singing in response to his hatred. A second cousin's daughter was on that island on that fateful day last year and she survived. We have become Facebook friends from across the ocean. I pray that nothing like this will happen again in Norway. But hatred still exists.

Love,
Debbie

This doesn't surprise me at all, but I really loved watching the video. Norwegians are strong, I've seen in over and over again. I hope my gene pool is full of the heart and hardiness of that Viking spirit!! I sure it in my own mom.

I've watched the reports on this man as I've seen the news. Sad to think of someone being so lost. I love the response of the Norwegians, music and roses.

Tusen Takk for sharing Felisol.

Det er virkelig til å bli stolt av, måten det norske folk har taklet denne saken. Jeg klarer enda ikke å fatte at alt dette faktisk har hendt.
Nå må vi bare håpe at samholdsfølelsen holder.
God natt!

Lifting up voices in song to offset evil. It's like praying twice.

Dear Felisol...what an evil man! Every time I see his face on the news I cringe. And how could he say that he acted in self defense!?
So happy to see the people of Norway standing together....lovely, lovely, lovely.
