ERRORS

I hate to admit it, but at times I am a little sloppy.
Too sure of myself, too hasty and lazy to look up words in my fat, red dictionary.
This is why I wrote so enthusiastically about Black Currant blossoms, when the blossoms I meant to praise actually were those of Black Elders. Iiijk. Silly me.

Next week I'm going to harvest the Black Currants or Sun berries, as they're called in Norway. Our berries are already black, but still taste sour from lack of sun.
That's, howeever, another cup of... juice.

Good Morning Felisol.
I always have a hard time to know what flower is what too.
One time at Saija's, I was admiring a nice rose that she had posted and when I mentioned it as a rose, Saija was way too kind to tell me that it was peony.
I found out by reading other comments about it.
It was sort of embarrassing but Saija made it all right.

I remember Mom making elder berry pies. It took a whole lot of berries to make one pie and it took a whole lot of picking on our part to gather enough berries to MAKE one pie!
Lots of work ..and there was no danger of our eating them either, as we picked because they were so sour!
I think juice would taste good but maybe you would have to put in a whole lot of sugar, eh Felisol?

We will be praying for Gunnar this weekend.
It is too bad that he is so tired.
Being a teacher, I guess he will have a few more weeks off, eh Felisol?
In Canada, the kids start school in September and go until June.
I guess that Serina will be starting way too soon as far as you are concerned, eh?
Well you can't even think about that until you really have to.
Enjoy the time that you will all three have together until then, my dear friend!!

You take care now and remember we are praying for you all..Love Terry

PS..Had you heard that our little pilgrim is not feeling well. We will surely be having to pray.
Hebrews 11:1 has become such a precious treasure to us all!

Popping in to say "Hi" and encourage you. Actually, you encouraged me by your admitting your mistake. I am ALWAYS calling something the wrong thing! LOL! Is it our age? ;) One night at dinner I could not remember the word for "carrots" when I got ready to ask Jim to pass them to me. Finally, I just asked him to please pass me those orange colored things. LOL!! :) Isn't life wonderful?!

I love black currants! We used to have bushes of black currant at my childhood home. I have good memories how I after school went straight to the bushes to eat black currants. They are so good. I'm getting a little garden next month and maybe I'll have a bush of my own!

Maiju said...

Saija,

I also love cloud berries!

Felisol said...

Dear Sajia and Maiju,
cloud berries are just WOUNDERFUL.
They mostly grow on the moors in moutain districts. Around my birth town, Sauda, there are rare places on which they grow. Else I would think they can best be found in the Northern parts of Finland, Sweeden and Norway.
They are being served with whipped cream for feasts, eaven on our King's table.
I buy them forzen or somestimes also as jam. Hmmm
My Black currants tased sour even today. I have planted bushes of (and now I'll look it up.)red currants, black currants and (usj I cat find them in the glossary) light yellowish berries growing on braches with thorns.
These were the bushes in my mother's garden when I was a child. I thought Serina shold have the same late-summer berry picking experience that I had. I mostly freeze my harvest, though, but have to boil some jam for to good smell in the kitchen..
I am a lousy cook, but love herbs, berries and all kind of flowers. That seems to have inspired Serina. She always brings home delicat bouquets when she's been on a walk.

Here's a "mistake" to add to those lists....I sent Mrs. Shirkie a card with a photo I took of narcissus flowers. Well, she called them Daffodils, so I felt really embaressed that I got it all wrong...and then I asked my mom, and she said they're the same flower!

Thank you, Mrs. Ljung, for your prayers. I felt really bad, so I couldn't start my supplements Monday and I pray I will wake up with a settled stomach on Tuesday. I'm anxious to start them. I've been thinking of you.

Dear Hebrew 11:1,
Its night were you live now. Tuesday morning will have to wait for yet another hours.
Good, that gives me time to pray a lot for you.
Narcissus is i think the latin name for Daffodil. You wer both right as you say. We name them Easter Lilly and Pentacost Lilly (the white).
Beloved children have many names.
Felisol is my brothers name for me.

we can't even buy cloudberries frozen or any other way here in canada ... :o( ...

my mom & i were talking about them the other day, she wanted to have some too ... i guess it's the time of the year that brings back that finnish yearning for certain foods, etc.

say hello to your mom as well!

Daffodils, Narcissus...What's the difference Little Pilgrim?!
When I received those lovely cards in the mail to me they were treasures and you just made my day!

Felisol, you can see what those two Montreal kids sent to me on my May 22 2007 post!....Love Terry

hebrews 11:1 has left a new comment on your post "ERRORS":

Hello, Mrs. Ljung,

Please tell your sweet daughter that I can't comment on her blog because it is only for Google users, and I don't lie being excluded! ;)

I am feeling well, my stomach is much better. Thank you for praying. I could not believe how well I felt Tuesday morning when I awoke. I lay in bed thanking God, and then my alarm went off! I thought I'd awakened in the middle of the night, but it was morning, and I'd slept through the whole night! Praise the Lord.

May God bless you and your family,
Lil Pilgrim Pal

Dear Heb. 11:1,
Hope I did the posting right.
We are all so very thankful to have you in our lives.
I am thrilled to learn that your stomach is getting better.
Did Jesus not say; "Without me you cannot do anything."
But He does make wonders over and over again.
Serina sends her greetings, she is so very thankful for what has being done for her. And she is getting better all the time, but is still not fully recovered.

Terry said...

Dear Felisol
Thanks so much for the nice greeting that you gave my mom and dad.
I am going to print them out.

I was glad to hear from you because I haven't heard from you in a few days and I was wondering how Gunnar is doing.

I think that Serina has a lovely email site.
She is so smart and what a photographer.
I am going to tell my sister, Betty about her photo site.
So nice!

I am going to write you an email..

Take care of yourself and Gunnar and Serina and your mom and your aunt.
Blessings to you ...love Terry

Felisol are you "On The Far Side Of The Sea" or "BY The Far Side Of The Sea"? Let me know. OK?

Hello, Mrs. Ljung!

Just thought I'd drop by to let you know I was thinking of you. Actually your song for the Goldens brought a lump to my throat...I prayed for a radio who died suddenly 2 days later, and when the radio station did a look back at their 5 years, they played the last verse to that song, before playing the eulogy fromthe funeral. So, I always associate it together. I will never forget the morning I tuned in to that radio station, and the broadcast partner said that his counterpart, Ted, was "not well" God told me "Pray for him, he's goign to die." I thin he was in his late 50's, early 60's, but had 3 yrs. before had a liver transplant...but all in all, in sounded odd he might die just like that. So, I prayed for his salvation. The next morning I tuned in, and Ted was in the hospital.Again God told me he would die...again I prayed. He died that afternoon. Somehow I think he came to know the Lord after all...I am so glad you typed up those words, though, because I could not make out them all when I listened to the collage. I taped almost all of the special broadcast looking back on the radio station's first 5 years, and now when I think of Ted, I listen to that tape. Oh, and the Lord provided me with the chance to actually share that testimony with his broadcast partner, too! And he was so moved with emotion after reading it, it was amazing.

God bless you and keep you,

Lil pilgim Pal

hello - thank you for praying for me. I am blessed.

so do you make black currant jam???

Felisol said...

Dear Lil Pilgrim Pal,
I am so blessed to know you.
You have these special gifts and you are so willing to share them.
If I should be a bit under the weather, I just have to read one of your letters, and I get a whole new perspective on things. I cannot really tell how many times i've been encouraged by you this summer.
I've learnt know a bit of your problems too by and by. You aare and will be on my prayer list, be sure. It's amazing how much joy and comfort you are able to bring, being a tryed person yourself. Maybe, my father used to say, if I had not be ill for so long (he suffered from a terrrible migraine from the age of 5), I would not need Jesus, and that would be worse than any illness.
Have a peaceful weekend
from felisol
