I'M HANGING ON

Never was nor want to be a preacher.

If my life should be a testimony,- than it better been torn up.

I am hanging on though,

clinging to the solid rock.

Have no other place I wish to go.

SOLID ROCK

Well, I'm hangin'

on to a solid rock

Made before

the foundation of the world

And I won't let go,

and I can't let go,

won't let go

And I can't let go,

won't let go,

and I can't let go no more.

For me He was chastised,

for me He was hated,

For me he was rejected

by a world that He created.

Nations are angry,

cursed are some,

People are expecting

a false peace to come.

Well, I'm hangin' on

to a solid rock

Made before the foundation

of the world

And I won't let go,

and I can't let go,

won't let go

And I can't let go,

won't let go,

and I can't let go no more.

It's the ways of the flesh

to war against the spirit

Twenty-four hours a day

you can feel it

and you can hear it

Using all the devices under the sun.

And He never give up

'til the battle's lost or won.

Well, I'm hangin' on

to a solid rock

Made before the foundation

of the world

And I won't let go,

and I can't let go,

won't let go

And I can't let go,

won't let go,

and I can't let go no more.

Dear Lil Pilgrim pal,
I do hope that things are turning out well for you and your entire family. I think you are making brave choises. Hope we'll stay in touch. I admire the way you go to take care of the weary and week.

Dylan's got it all. There're three albums from the early 1980s, Slow Train Comin', Saved, Shot of love, with lyrics from when he was a new-born (what ever that might be). They're so buring genuine. I love them. I also love the following record Infidels and many, many more.
Religion is a theme in most of Dylan's albums, one's only have to be looking for it.
We, myself included, are so busy labelling people.
My Jesus don't do that. He's saying "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John. 3:16.
That's enough to me.
God bless your life and your family.

I like all the Dylan, and Dylan himself. We will be on the Isle of Man September 22, 23, and 24. I wonder if they still remember him.
How's our away girl doing?
And the Mom?

Dear Felisol..
I have finally been able to come and visit, and I am glad.
I hope that you are feeling better.
Right now I am trying to make a post but it has been very slow in down loading pictures.
I figure it is about time that I thank everyone for all the nice birthday greetings.
I will be right back....love Terry

my brother (who is a musician), played with Bob Dylan a few years back ... he had some neat stories to tell about it ...

hoping that you are feeling better better better ...

blessings on you!

Dear Saija,
I whish I could be a "fly on the wall" when your brother is telling about Dylan. (He must be a top musisian, your bro. Dylan can choose from the upper shelf when he picks his band.)
So glad to read about Leo getting better. I am praying for his fully recovery.
i am confident that the Lord is able to restore anything. I even pray for our old, broken car.
Somehow it's easier to pray with belief for others....
I am very slowly recovering, but am more conserned about Serina , who has another fever attack and not have gotten her right medication yet.
I feel lost and too far away.
Even though He sees her and He's able to fix it all.

my bro was an opening act ... his love is music, tho' for the sake of his family, he has chosen a career that doesn't involve lots of travel - but he has managed to meet all kinds of people, and even write the musical score for a docudrama on karelia and finlanders (received very well and seen in a few countries) ...

i am so sorry to hear that you are in that same sort of foggy scary place that can come on those who are concerned for loved ones ... i fall into that crevice sometimes, even tho' leo is right in the next room! i was there on mon/tue - but with leo somewhat better today - i feel somewhat better ...

God is indeed in control ... i believe it, it's just that emotions go their own way regardless - but my faith is still in HIM who is able ...

"Lord restore Felisol's health, restore Serina's health ... and may they both know your peace that can cut through any emotion and any illness ... in Jesus name ... "

blessings to you!

Dear Felosiol.
I hope that Serina is getting along.
It must be so hard for you to be so far away while she is not well.
Your mother heart just yearns to be with her I know.

Is Bob Dylan a very old person?
I am sure that our English teacher used to play his songs to us using the record player and he sounded pretty good.
I never realized that he had such deep words in his songs.
Maybe when you are young, you don't bother too much about the words because of being so care free.
I do remember though that the principal came to the school room door and got after the English teacher..

I am glad that you visit my blog so much Felisol.
My sister Gail is about 47, I think.
It is so hard to keep track of the kids' ages!
Gail and her husband Ross have three "special" kids.
Two of them have a form of Multiple Dystrophy and all three children are autistic.
She loves them all and has quite a nice little family.
She has lived in and near Toronto for years but she phones Mom Golden everyday.

Mom is getting along quite fine now.
Tonight Gracey took her out shopping so she could get a new dress for the wedding this Saturday.

Next Saturday we hope to have an open house for Mom and Dad's 60th anniversary.
It will be a month and a half late but better late than never, eh?
I think that Dad Golden might even be looking forward to it.
His appointment for his operation is Oct. 3.
I just pray that everything will go well for him.

Felisol..How is Gunnar these days and how is you mom and aunt and Svige's wife, Liv?

Well I guess I will say good night for now and thank you for always being there when I call...
Even if you ARE on the far side of the sea!

I have lost Curious Servant's new blog address and have searched my whole computer for it.
If you say hi to him can you tell him to write to me and send it again and tell him that I am still thinking about him and Brenda..Thanks..Love Terry

Hi, Mrs. Ljung,
It's been awhile since I dropped by, so I am coming by to remind you that I pray for you and your family every morning, and that no matter what happens in life, God has it happen for a purpose...and most of the time it is to draw us closer to Him. I have been thinking about this all day, that is why I am writing it. If you would have told me two years ago that I would have to give up my business I owned, I would have sais you were crazy...9 months ago, the same. Maybe even 6 months ago. Not now. I am basking in the Lord's love, soaking it up. He knows what is best, and I am so content with it, it is amazing. Life is so much more peaceful and relaxing, no constant stress, or worries over customers or orders. He led someone into my life to pay me for walking their dog...that is not work I get paid for, that is pleasurable for me! I always walk with one of my siblings, and I have an hour with them. We explore, we have fun, we even have had some crazy adventures already, but God has kept us safe through it all. Thank you, Jesus! You are so wonderful to us!

I need to get to bed now.

I love you!

God bless you,
LPP

Sometimes, well many times I am at a loss for words and I just have to go and be alone with God....which is what I must do now to pray for your Serina...let God hear our petitions for her healing and ask him to please please comfort you...He loves your Serina more than you do...i remember thinking at times, it was not possible for anyone to love my daughters more than I...but He does...standing with you in prayer....hugs and love to you....

Hi, sweet Sister in Christ,

I just want to thank you for your prayers for my health, because it is doing so much better. The dr. I saw was really bad, and couldn't see how I could have such a infection with the symptoms being so few and not every day...of course, these symptoms are controlled by my diet-- you should have seen me August '06 when my body was ravaged by the infection. So, with no help from the dr., I have kept on these supplement, and this diet, and with all the prayers, I went 5 days without symtoms-- a mirale for me!

God bless you and your family!

Dear Lttle Pilgrim Pal,
I am happy for you that you finally have gotten better.
All this time you have been so busy praying and caring for others, never loosing faith.
The Lord comes in his time.
Now Is hopefully also your time. The trick with doctors, is to be persistant and listen to your own body. Most doctors, at least in little Norway, tend to stagnate after some years.
Well, docs are mere tools, without n\me you can do nothing, Christ said.
Good luck and God bless you further on.
Yours Felisol

Here's a song I just thought of for you, while writing you a note on Pals:

"HOld to God's Unchanging Hand"

Time is filled with swift transition,
Naught of earth unmoved can stand,
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Refrain:
Hold to God’s unchanging hand,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand;
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Trust in Him who will not leave you,
Whatsoever years may bring,
If by earthly friends forsaken
Still more closely to Him cling.

Covet not this world’s vain riches
That so rapidly decay,
Seek to gain the heav’nly treasures,
They will never pass away.

When your journey is completed,
If to God you have been true,
Fair and bright the home in glory
Your enraptured soul will view.
