AMIDALA, THE QUEEN OF CATS

Our Queen Amidala isn't happy at all. She has given birth to five beautiful kittens this spring. After 8 weeks of struggling to become a good mother, her kittens were given to three good homes.
As a "reward", Amidala was castrated, and totally confused when the tomcats began pieing and mewing again. She fought them all back from her territory with great skill and courage.
She and Serina bonded easily when the latter came home for a short vacation . Then it was crying time again, Serina packed all night while the rain was pouring down.
At 6 in the morning we were exhausted and decided to get some sleep, while Amidala went out to do whatever cats do at that time of day. It was still damp and wet all over the terrace and garden. Can't you hear her complaining ; "I am not amused."

You have a great eye for composition. Love the flowers, perfect for a splash of color, which compliments the darker area around Ms. Kitty. She is a beauty.

Queen Amidala, looks very regal over here with the lovely flowers. You got her safe now . She will be OK.

Oh so sad to hear that Serina' s holiday ended.

I wish we had that surgery available for Sheeba

Amidala may be the queen of cats, but those dazzling red geraniums are drawing my eye away from Her Majesty! LOL

RED AND YELLOW LULLABY

Red is the color of cherries, not cheese;
Yellow the backs of the sweet honeybees;

Red the fair hair of the Derry Town maid;
Yellow the yolk of the brown egg fresh-laid;

Red are the wounds of the sun going down;
Yellow the daisies beloved by the clown;

Rainbows of colors, delighting the eye—
Yellow and scarlet for this lullaby.

Love your little story, E. Cats are masters of controlling their environments and she looks especially regal and all ruling.

We all work so hard to follow the wishes of our family feline members. Yet, the kitties may love us, but adhere to our wishes? Well, the queen sits regally awaiting our response to her calls. Royalty reigns in our homes, except the people here are much less royal, mere commoners in their minds...

oh the poor babe, felisol ..robbed of her five babies and robbed of all her boyfriends...alas! alas!..it is surely NOT a dog's life, eh?...her's is a sad and lonely life since she has even been robbed of the princess serina...i know where the pussy went..she has gone to a wet corner in the garden and mingled her kitty tears with the falling rain...alas! alas!.....love terry

and to top it off her name means, "beautiful flower"!!....sigh!

Ha! Queen Amidala is ruling this house. She has adopted us to be her servants. She comes and goes as she likes, but when she wants in early in the morning, she's mewing till we let open the door. Then she's leading us promptly to the food dishes. She's not eating until the dry fodder and the fresh fodder plates are filled.
She is spoiled rotten, that's the truth, and she prefers to lie between us in the sofa, craving all the attention.
But she was sad after Serina went, she's the only one to let her lie in the bed.

yes! i know what you mean by spoiled rotten felisol..that's exactly what bernie has done with every cat that we owned!..never mind, letting them lay on the bed, the monsters would get on to the table when i wasn't there but when bernie was alone with them..where do you think they resided?..they would take a mighty leap off when i came home and entered the door!
bernie would also let them lick his ice cream cone before he ate it..yuk!..so rest assured dearest friend of mine that black critter of yours is not as bad as bernie and his cats!..ha!..love terry

I guess Bernie takes the price, but then he has spoiled you as well,n'est ce pas?

Love the glossy black coat of Amidala. Shows that she is very well taken care of and pampered. :P

A pity she cannot keep her kittens. Are her babies all black like her?

Felisol said...

Amidal's glossy coat is a daily cooperation between her and Gunnar. When she adopted us in November her long coat was full of icicles and knots.
Gunnar bought a special comb and cutter at the pet shop. It took him half a year to get rid of all the fur balls, little by little.
They have developed a special relationship after this, trusting and understanding.
Can you imagine, she could not turn her head around, because of the big knots blocking her neck.
Even so, she was house trained, and went on her cat toilet from the first day. we have had ads in the local paper, on the radio and posters in the local grocery stores, but no response.
Her kittens had grey coat with beautiful black drawings. They were also long haired. Two families adopted two kittens each. The third family had a cat , a dog and a horse on beforehand.
We did a lot of praying and a lot of grooming to make them stand forth as attractive as possible. I'm so happy we succeeded, with much help from above.

Glad you find Mahjong fun. It's a very interesting, brain stimulating game if you can get another 3 players and pit your skill against one another. Try it.

For the time being I am challenged finding out how it works with the tiles. In due time, I might just try to find some who will play with me. It is already mind stimulating!

Looking at Amidala, it is hard to imagine her long coat was full of icicles and knots. Kudos to Gunnar for taking such good care of her.

Her babies must be beautiful too. I would love to adopt one if I had lived near you.

Re collars for cats. My cats have all a collar with our telphone n° written inside (no medal because they loose it) The collar is elastic so there is no danger to get stuck somewhere. Arthur looses his quiet often !

Re Istanbul. I didn't go there with a group. I booked a city trip which only was flight and hotel. My friend and I did everything alone. We had no troubles at all as two women and felt more safe than in Brussels in the evening ! The city is so modern and well organized there is no danger at all ! We had two young girls in our hotel who went out dancing every evening, they also said it's safer to go out in Istanbul than in Brussels !
We certainly will go back there it's such a beautiful city and we are still homesick ! (btw I have an email adress)
