Ruby Shipwreck

We haven't had much of a summer so far. About averagely 50 Fahrenheit degrees in June and 200 % more rain than normal. We normally have our fair share of rain anyway.
This dark red boat has stranded in an ocean of flowers blowing in the wind.
The prognosis for July hasn't improved.
The water magazines are full, so we can supply sunny, southern Europe with cheap renewable power.
Renewable being the key word.
There's more rain to come.
Happy summer to those who have one.
Also; happy 4th of July to my American friends.

I LOVE this photo. Instead of a sea of blue water, you found one in a sea of flowers. Perfect!

That "..ocean of flowers.." is it what we call 'Queen Anne's Lace'?

What the world needs now...is cheap renewable power.

Song lyrics: "What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of...."

50 F. is 10 C. too cold for MY blood! Unless you are living in the mountains... Summer is just a bit late for you this year...means another frigid winter. Sorry!

Now that I've disturbed you....
PEACE!

The flowers are called
Aegopodium podagraria 'Variegatum'/
Snow-on-the-Mountain, Bishop's Weed, or Gout weed.
It's edible, contains lots of vitamins, minerals and can be used in salads ,soups or tea. It can help cure podagra, gouty arthritis, hence the Latin name.
In my garden it is weed, because it suffocate my other herbs and flowers.

Renewable power should be produced where the people consume it, for instance in France, Spain, Florida and California. They can have 400 % more rain than they use to.

Norway has more both renewable and fossil power than she can use. We nevertheless pay sky high prices and export it for nothing.

The good God blesses us, but human greed destroys.
Our waterfalls are lean into pipes and high-voltage towers, criss crossing the entire country, disturbing the most beautiful sceneries of the world, not to speak of the vulnerable echo systems connected to the old water ways.
They are not renewable.
Neither are the spawning grounds for cod and herring ruined by oil drilling and production.
We cannot eat money, we just have to reduce our enormous consume of power.

That's today's speech from one frustrated summer-robbed soul.
There may come more.

That is very cold Felisol - that 's our Dec/Jan temp. I hope the sun is warm- you can sit out in the garden.

The sea wind must be cold too. But Serina' s presenc e must be keeping you warm.

The abandoned boat looks very mysterious.

And one last hello. Love the beached boat. There was a little boat high and dry on a bed of river rock for year not too far from my house. I loved seeing that beached boat. It is gone now but everytime I pass that way, I still imagine it there.

June was a crazy weather month for us. It even rained like it thought it was a January and a funnel cloud appeared in the sky just 40 minutes south of us. It didn't touch down but such an event is highly unusual for our part of the world. Tornados are in the Mid-West to Eastern part of the country. Just thinking about a funnel cloud so nearby makes me frown.

Thank you so much for your July 4th greeting Elise. It warms the heart in a time when I think we Americans have much to be concerned about. If you didn't see my opinion piece I posted just before the post, please take a look.

Love
Annie

We assume the ruby boat to be leaky - so happily is 'floats' not in water but in a sea of wildflowers. It is a shame that the short summer is not warmer nor as sunny as we would like. But Norway seems a beautiful land in any climate...

Being stranded in an ocean of flowers is better, I think, than being stranded in an ocean of towering waves!

RED OR YELLOW?

If you have a penchant for red,
Then scarlet will go to your head;
But if it is gold
You’d rather behold,
Then plant yellow roses instead.

happy ruby tuesday..love terry

oh felisol, can you believe this?
the word verification is PETALS!!
how great is THAT?!

Felisol said...

Dear Terry,
That is even greater than you can understand.
I've just an hour ago
translated a Norwegian poet who wrote about God's greatness.
" If all noblemen stood forth in row ,
in all their power and wealth,
They couldn't force a single petal fasten to the flower crown."
God is that great. Just now I have been waking over my baby. She's ill with pneumonia and joint aching.
I have done every thing I possibly could, mixtures antibiotics, doctors, the whole works; and then I just had to leave the rest to God.
About whom I had written to Robin an hour ago, he who has created the petals, who has all power in macro and micro cosmos.
And you get the verification word petal.
I don't believe in such coincidences.
I believe in the Almighty.

Felisol. Your SON. We are praying for him tonight. Soon it is morning where you live, and maybe God has made him well and whole again.

Blessings are with you today.
PEACE!

Dear Steve E,
I cannot even begin to tell how graceful I am for your willingness to pray for my petal.
She's my only baby, even though she's 23.
I feel both touched and comforted here in faraway land. Knowing your prayers and those from me and my family have been heard.
May God reward you and your friends richly in return.

I cannot see the picture of the ruby shipwreck .. alas my newer pc and the slow internet connection are failing me .. but your description in words is more than enough for a 'blind' woman to 'see' and know what you write of. May God send a gentle warm breeze up to the north way and embrace your land that is in need of warmth. May your mothering and nurturing skills along with the hand of the Almighty bring healing to your sweet petal of a girl.

At least the rain has brought flowers? I'm sorry you're having such a soggy summer.
