As our children became older and the family expanded to enormous proportions, we decided to skip gifts within the grand-family for Christmas.
Nevertheless my BIL came gave us this tin poster from his good heart for Christmas. Because of the way it was given, and the nice text, I was very happy about it, and gave it a dominant place in our living room, beside the fireplace. I smile every time I look at it. Norwegians don't kiss a lot, but we are great huggers!

oh so true, love this!
We need to see a personal gift for what it is - the affection and love from a special person to us. The world can be so superficial, hugs may be too few. Perhaps it is the sort of giving tradition that needs to come back to more people. So nice a sentiment!
I really like the sign, almost as much as I like a good hug!!
What a nice gift, and a good reminder hanging in your home.
How is Serina doing with her new studies? And how is 'mom'??
xo
I agree and it's free!
Serina had her fist day at school today. She's already got friends on campus, and I think this will become a rare semester to her.
There's a travel link up to the right of my blog site "With myself going to Dublin".
My Mom has been into rough weather, but is doing better these last 4 days. She's keeping us all on bended knees, and Gunnar is also doing his very best to help her practically. He's the best.
Funny though, how the enemy cannot stay away even from old and fragile.
Thanks to the promises telling when I am weak, then I am strong.
I admit, I cling to God, the worse, the closer I cling.

I love this sign! What a precious gift you received. Hugs are so good. I am sending one to you across the ocean.
blessings and love to you,

What a wonderful sign. The sentiment says it all.
Filipinos kiss and hug one another a lot...and this poster is one that would find a prominent place in our culture as well!
What a wonderful gift!
This is wonderful
